At Mary Bergeron Elementary, student safety is our top priority — and that starts with knowing where every child is each morning. If your child is going to be absent, it’s very important that you notify the school as soon as possible.
Why does this matter?
Our automated attendance system begins calling home at 9:15 AM each day for any unreported absences. If we haven’t received a message from you before then, the system will send a computerized phone call alert to let you know your child is marked absent — even if they’re safe at home or en route to an appointment.
We want to avoid unnecessary worry or confusion, and most importantly, we want to account for every student quickly and accurately each morning. Your timely communication helps us do exactly that.
