At Mary Bergeron Elementary, we know that a strong school isn’t built by staff alone — it’s built in partnership with our families and community. Our School Council is an essential part of that partnership.
Made up of parents, guardians, grandparents, and community members who care deeply about our students, the School Council works closely with the principal and school team to support learning, build community, and enrich the experiences of every child.
From organizing events to offering input on school priorities, our School Council helps shape the culture of MBE. Thanks to their dedication and energy, our students enjoy opportunities and activities that simply wouldn’t be possible otherwise — from special celebrations to classroom resources and beyond.
Why It Matters
School Councils create space for:
-
Parent voice and perspective in school decisions
-
Collaboration between families and staff
-
Creative ideas and volunteer power that directly benefit students
Whether you're attending meetings, helping with events, or simply staying informed, your involvement makes a difference. Everyone is welcome — and anyone who attends a meeting becomes a voting member.
We are truly grateful for the time, care, and commitment our School Council gives. They are a vital part of what makes MBE such a vibrant and successful school.
